Egner heading to run GPfour series

Mitch Egner, the Pacific F2000 points leader will be joining the Primus Racing GPFour series for the season finale at Road Atlanta. Egner, from British Columbia, Canada, will join series regular Justin Gordon's team with a second car for the Driven 100 GPFour race on November 4th and 5th.

Egner is 25 years old and has been racing since he was 8. "This is my second year in formula cars." Egner said. "I previously raced from 8 until 17 years old. I did a fair amount of kartin...g in Canada and the US. I got back into it last year to have some fun locally. I wound up doing fairly well. So, we started to travel a bit.

The Driven 100 GPFour race is held at Road Atlanta during the Annual SCCA American Road Race of Champions. The event is the GPFour series finale and has traditional attracted a very large field of the top open wheel drivers in the country. For 2017 Primus Racing and Driven have stepped the race up to the next level. For the first time a GPFour race will run a full 100 miles. This distance is a 50% increase over the usual 40 minute timed races. As a result the cars will need to be refueled to make the distance. Teams will perform a required pitstop and bring the teams into greater play in the event.

The Driven 100 is November 4-5, 2017 at Road Atlanta. Updates and news can be found at
